West Weekly Connect: June 5 – June 9, 2023

  • Office Hours: West High offices are open Monday-Friday from 8:00-4:00.
  • Last Day of School: Friday, June 9 is the last day of the school year. This is also an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 1:45.
  • Student Device Return: Grades 7-11 must return laptops by June 5.
  • Senior Graduation Information:
    • Mandatory graduation rehearsal is June 7 in the West High Auditorium at 9:00am. Grad Walk will immediately follow at 11:30.
    • Graduation will be held at the Huntsman Center at 4:00pm on June 9. Seniors need to arrive at Huntsman at 3:00. Please be watching for a future email with parking maps and specific day of instructions.
  • Summer School Registration: Summer school registration is open. This is for credit recovery and original PE credit; space is limited for PE. Please see your class Canvas page or view Summer School Flyer for more details.
  • Attention ELPers: This Wednesday we are having our end of the year social at Liberty Park. We will play capture the flag 7th vs. 8th grade and other games. We will visit and have a refreshing treat. Please bring a water bottle and wear sunscreen. We will be back in time for school lunch. Check Canvas for more information and your permission slip.
  • Yearbook Day: June 8 is yearbook day. Students will be on a shortened class bell schedule.
  • Free Cybersecurity Registration: Ken Garff Esports Cybersecurity camp is open and free for high school students interested in learning more about cybersecurity. The program runs from July 10-21. No previous knowledge is needed. Interested students can Register Here.
  • Concurrent Classes: Students that have signed up for concurrent classes, please look on your Canvas page for instructions on how to do your admissions. If you would like to sign up still for class or don’t know if you qualify, please come to the CTE/CE office 318.
  • School Fees: Please remember to check Welcome - MySchoolFees.com  for any fines/fees.
  • Lost & Found: Please check the lost and found in Student Services. Items not claimed June 9 will be donated. Lifetouch photos can also be picked up in Student Services.
  • AP/IB Test Donations: The ELP/IB Steering Committee is raising funds to help pay for AP and IB tests. For information on how to donate, see FLYER.
  • Family Resource Center: The West High Family Resource Center is open during the following hours:
    • Student Snacks: 8:15-9:00 am every day, during lunches (except Tuesdays), 3:30-4:00 every day
    • Pantry: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for students, families, and staff from 9:00-9:30 and 2:00-3:30.
    • One bag of food per family and hygiene, cleaning, and diapers available upon request
