  • Criteria: High school senior. Must have interest in pursuing a teaching or related educational career in SLCC and the U. Financial need, underrepresented, first generation student preferred. Utah residents and citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. Minimum high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.

  • Criteria: College-bound high school seniors. 1,200 to 1,500-word essay that describes the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on yourself, your family or their community, and what you have learned in light of coping with the brain disorder.

  • Criteria: High School Seniors from underserved and underrepresented communities. US Citizens or Permanent Residents. Completed an AP computer science course and / or test. 3.0 GPA.

    Amount: $10,000 a year for a total of $40,000 (100 awards) to study a computer science related field at a four-year college or university and a guaranteed paid internship offer at Amazon after the completion of the first year

  • Criteria: Graduating U.S. high school seniors who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and / or communities. Essay required. Applicants will be judged on having shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle.

  • Criteria: High school JUNIORS.

    Annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. Anyone of any background, pursuing any academic discipline of study, may apply to this non-partisan, need-blind, program. Primary criterion is academic record.

  • Criteria: Graduating high school seniors admitted to the U of U. Involvement in community activities that promote cultural pride and strengthen the Chicanx/ Latinx community. Eligible for federal financial aid. Also open to dreamers with or without DACA.

  • This year’s Doodle for Google theme is: “IAM STRONG BECAUSE...”

    Doodles will be judged on artistic merit, creativity, representation of theme, use of the letters in the Google logo. Doodles will be judged by the following grade groups: Grades K-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12

  • Criteria: Senior students with 3.0 GPA or above. Must be a member of the Utah PTSA (see website for enrollment information). Essay on involvement in PTSA and two letters of recommendation.

  • Criteria: High school sophomores who reside in Salt Lake County, Utah. First generation. Family income less than $75,000. Scholarship recipients will receive mentoring through high school and college to prepare for success in post-high school education.

  • Criteria: Jiffy Lube is offering two $6,500 scholarship awards and six $1,500 scholarship awards to Utah high school students. Write a 500-word essay about “What Drives You?” – no grade point or test score requirements! Open to all teen drivers as well as those in driver’s education.

  • Criteria: Current high school senior. Utah resident. Minimum GPA of 2.5. Have proof of strong commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism addressing such issues as equality, racial justice, free speech, religious freedom, tolerance, and privacy.

    A weeklong immersion to learn how Utah government works, earn University credits and scholarships from Weber State University.

  • Criteria: Grades 9-12. U.S. citizen or U.S. national.

    Two or three-dimensional art. Digital art, photography and jewelry are NOT ACCEPTED.

    Submit a typed explanation of patriotism expressed in art (250 words or less).

    Amount: The first-place winner from each state competes for national awards totaling $31,500.

  • Criteria: High-school senior of African descent. Plan to pursue a degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or business programs (finance, business administration or marketing). Demonstrate a passion for technology.
