Student & Family Support

The West High Student Resource Center (SRC) is an on-site facility located within West High. The SRC provides resources and access to community services for all West High students and families. We’re here to help!  

Resources & Services available for students and families: (Item availability is subject to change)  

• Prepared family food bags (One bag per family per week)  
• School supplies (for students only) 
• Clothing (for students only)  
• Access to Vision, Dental, other Medical Care, Housing, Home Internet Service, Cleaning Supplies, Hygiene Supplies, Other Community Services 
• Student snacks 

SRC Hours for students:  

The SRC is open to all West High students every day from 8:15-8:45am, during 1st and 2nd lunch, and after school from 3:15-3:30pm.  

Students can get snacks in the mornings and during lunch time and pick up prepared family food bags after school.  

SRC Hours for families:  

The SRC is open to all families of West High students by appointment only. Please call or email Wendy Morse at 801-578-8500 ext. 2310 or wendy.petersenmorse@slcschools.org. In your message, please describe the resources or support you are interested in receiving. We will return your message and set up an appointment as soon as possible.  

Donations 

Here are a few items the Student Resource Center can always use: 

• Nonperishable food items: peanut butter, jam, rice, pasta, beans, soups, cold cereals, vegetables, fruit, etc. 
• Backpacks and school supplies: pens, pencils, spiral notebooks, composition books, etc. 
• New coats, hoodies, socks, gloves in teen sizes only please 
• Cash/check/credit card donations are always helpful to purchase items for the pantry/clothing closet, or items families need that the pantry does not carry.
