It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year. Whether you’re a returning student or staff member, a new family joining our school, or a longtime supporter of West High, thank you for being part of this extraordinary community.

West High School stands on more than 130 years of tradition, excellence, and resilience. From our historic tower to our championship banners, from academic milestones to cultural celebrations, we are a school defined by pride, perseverance, and purpose. Our strength has always come from our people—and this year, that strength continues to shine.

As we look ahead, our school is focused on ensuring that every student feels safe, supported, and empowered to succeed. This year, our work is centered around several key priorities: enhancing student safety and discipline, improving attendance and academic support systems, strengthening instructional practices through coaching and collaboration, and ensuring every student stays on track to graduate. These priorities reflect our commitment to excellence in every classroom and a belief in the limitless potential of every learner.

At the heart of our work is our deep respect for the diversity that makes West so vibrant. Our students come from every walk of life, speak dozens of languages, and bring a richness of experience that makes our school stronger, wiser, and more compassionate. We are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming space where every student’s voice matters and every student can thrive.

We also have exciting news to share: the West High Rebuild begins this spring! This historic project will preserve our beloved tower while transforming our campus into a modern, innovative learning environment—designed to meet the needs of our students today and for generations to come.

I am honored to serve as your principal and to work alongside our outstanding educators, dedicated staff, and passionate families. Together, we will continue to uphold West’s proud legacy while building a future filled with possibility.
