West Succeeds at International Leadership Conference

West High HOSA Shines at International Leadership Conference
Nashville, Tennessee — June 2025
West High’s HOSA chapter delivered an exceptional performance at the HOSA International Leadership Conference. Out of 93 qualified West students, 47 attended—an extraordinary showing given that many schools send only one or two qualifiers.
International Achievements
- Richard Pan — 1st Place, World Health and Disparities (first place worldwide)
- Diya Dagar — 3rd Place, Red Cross Service
- Nina Zhu — HOSA International Scholarship recognizing leadership at the local and state levels and outstanding community service
Health Literacy Ambassadors
The following West High students were recognized as Health Literacy Ambassadors by the U.S. Library of Congress. No other school worldwide had more than a few—West High had nine.
