U of U ACCESS SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN

Criteria: Seniors. Must be admitted to the University of Utah. For women in science and mathematics. Must attend an integrated summer science course.

Amount: Valued at over $5000, includes a monetary award and all costs associated with the ACCESS first year experience.

Plan to enroll full time during the 2021-2022 academic year at an accredited post-secondary institution - 2 year / 4 year / Vocational / Technical / Certification program

Utah Sports Hall of Fame Foundation (USHOFF) Ream’s Food Stores scholarship

Criteria: Utah High School Seniors. Each high school may nominate only ONE boy and ONE girl.

Academic scholarship, leadership, community service, school involvement (all three of these areas are needed), Financial need, Athletic involvement (This is NOT an athletic scholarship)

The Salt Lake Exchange Club

Criteria: One outstanding boy and girl student from West. Chance to be entered in the Exchange Club District & National competition and possibly win scholarships.

The students who are the most well-rounded score the most points.

They also need to write an essay of 800 to 1,200 words -"I recognize my responsibility in shaping America’s future. I have stepped out of my comfort zone during uncertain times and made a difference. I am part of history and here is where it started.”

MEN’S / WOMEN’S ITALIAN AMERICAN CIVIC LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP

Criteria: Outstanding graduating high school senior of Italian ancestry. (At least one of the student’s parents must be of Italian ancestry.)

JOSEPH JAMES MORELLI SCHOLARSHIP

Criteria: High school students with dyslexia, dysgraphia or dyscalculia who wish to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Documentation of your learning challenge such as a 504, IEP or one-page letter from a teacher or counselor required.

WEST HIGH ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Criteria: Deserving West High Seniors. Incoming college freshman for the 2020-2021 academic year. Demonstrate financial need. Not be a current recipient of a scholarship award(s) totaling $4,000. ACLU of Utah Youth Activist 2020 SCHOLARSHIP

Criteria: Current high school senior. Utah resident. Minimum GPA of 2.5. Have proof of strong commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism addressing such issues as equality, racial justice, free speech, religious freedom, tolerance, and privacy.

Amount: 4 scholarships of $3,500 each.

FINTECH FOCUS

High school seniors enrolled in an accredited university for Fall 2021. Priority to Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, and New York but open to all students nationally. 4-week program for students with an interest in finance, computer science and technology. The course will take place virtually.

VFW Auxiliary Scholarships – Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest

Criteria: Grades 9-12. U.S. citizen or U.S. national.

Two or three-dimensional art. Digital art, photography and jewelry are NOT ACCEPTED.

Submit a typed explanation of patriotism expressed in art (250 words or less).

Amount: First-place winners from each state compete for national awards totaling $31,500.
