SOMOS UTAH HISPANIC BUSINESS LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Senior students in good academic standing. Hispanic/ Latino descent. Demonstrated leadership and/or community service. Must plan to attend a Utah college or vocational school.

NIAAA AND UIAAA STUDENT ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIPS
NIAAA Criteria: High school senior. At least 2 of the following: (a) minimum B+ average (b) top 25% of class (c) 24 ACT or 1100 SAT. Participated in two sports for at leasttwo years in each sport, earned at least one varsity letter in each sport.
UIAAA Criteria: High school senior. At least 2 of the following: (a) minimum B+ average (b) top 25% of class (c) 20 ACT or 900 SAT. Participated in two sports for at least three years in each sport, earned at least one varsity letter in each sport.
Amount: The UIAAA will select 6 students to receive $2,000 scholarships. The top ranked male and female will be forwarded to the NIAAA for consideration.

NATIONAL MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Senior who has Multiple Sclerosis or a parent with MS.

100 BLACK MEN OF AMERICA NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Criteria: Graduating high school seniors. 100 Black Men Affiliation: Mentee, Collegiate 100®, or Affiliate. Minimum 2.5 GPA. Planning to attend a post-secondary institution in the Fall of 2020 as a full-time student for the entire 2020-2021 academic year. 500 word essay. Confirmation of Community Service Letter (50 Hours Required). Leadership involvement.

FIRST DEGREE SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: High school sophomores who reside in Salt Lake County, Utah. First generation. Family income less than $75,000. Scholarship recipients will receive mentoring through high school and college to prepare for success in post-high school education.
Amount: Tuition and fees for up to eight semesters at a qualified university in Utah.
Deadline: January 31.
BANK OF AMERICA Student Leaders Program
Criteria: Junior or senior in high school working to make a difference in your school or community. Be able to participate in an 8-week paid internship at a local nonprofit organization and work 35 hours a week. Be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship through the end of September 2020. Be able to participate in a week-long Student Leaders Summit in Washington, DC (July 13 - July 18, 2020) (All expenses paid. This week will be part of your 8-week experience.) Be a student in good standing at your school. Obtain a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or school administrator.
Amount: 8-week paid internship

UTAH STATE CTE SCHOLARSHIPS
Criteria: Seniors seeking an associate’s degree or less, or seeking to be school teachers in CTE areas.
Amount: One year college or ATC tuition.

JACKIE ROBINSON MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria: Senior minority student, US citizen, community service, leadership, financial need. Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States

U OF U CHICANA/O SCHOLARSHIP FUND – U OF U
Criteria: Graduating high school seniors admitted to the U of U. Involvement in community activities that promote cultural pride and strengthen the Chicanx / Latinx community. Eligible for federal financial aid. Also open to dreamers with or without DACA.

SLCC TEACHER RECRUITMENT SCHOLARSHIP FOR DIVERSE STUDENTS

Criteria: The CompU Leaders Scholarship is a cohort-based, financial need scholarship program for incoming students who will pursue a computer science undergraduate degree. CompU Leaders students will receive mentoring, additional support and training, and be guided into leadership roles in the School of Computing and in the computer science profession.

UCB EPILEPSY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Criteria: High school seniors. U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, DACA or Eligible Non-Citizen. Hispanic heritage. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Must plan to enroll full-time in an accredited not-for-profit 4-year university during Fall of 2020.

THE HIGH SCHOOL UTAH ENTREPRENEUR CHALLENGE (HSUEC) innovation and entrepreneurship competition Criteria: All Utah high school students (ages 14-18 years old).
Students are encouraged to form teams and create a business proposal based on an innovative idea. The team’s submitted presentation should include the following: a problem, a proposed solution, a targeted audience/customer and a physical prototype.
Amount: $30,000 in cash and prizes.

THE VEGETARIAN RESOURCE GROUP
Criteria: Graduating U.S. high school seniors who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and / or communities. Essay required. Applicants will be judged on having shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle.

CIVILITY IN POLITICS AND PUBLIC LIFE ESSAY CONTEST
Criteria: All Utah high school students. 600-word essay on most significant current problem in addressing the challenges of climate change and propose a viable solution.
Amount: $500 – 2,000 cash prize
Deadline: 25th Feb 2020
Criteria: Senior students with 3.0 GPA or above. Must be a member of the Utah PTSA (see website for enrollment information). Essay on involvement in PTSA and two letters of recommendation.

AFA TEENS FOR ALZHEIMER’S AWARENESS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY CONTEST
Criteria: College-bound high school seniors. 1,200 to 1,500-word essay that describes the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on yourself, your family or community, and what you have learned in light of coping with the brain disorder.

Jiffy Lube is offering two $6,500 scholarship awards and four $1,500 scholarship awardsto Utah high school students. Write a 500-word essay about“What Drives You?” – no grade point or test score requirements! Open to all teen drivers as well as those in driver’s education.
Six finalists will be selected from essays submitted. Each finalist will be guaranteed a minimum $1,500 award if they create and submit a 1-2 minute video that expands on their essay in their own words, visuals, etc. The overall $6,500 scholarship winner will be chosen from these videos.

This year’s Doodle for Google theme is: “I SHOW KINDNESS BY...”
