New Special Education Liaison
The West High PTSA now has a parent volunteer serving as Special Education Liaison. Please contact Rita Devine at 801.363.3409 or firstname.lastname@example.org with questions, suggestions, or ideas on how we can meet the needs of our students receiving Special Education services.
New Resource for Families in the Salt Lake City School District!
Do you have a child with a disability or special needs? Do you have questions or concerns about your child’s IEP? What about transitioning out of High School, what’s next? A Parent Consultant from the Utah Parent Center serving in Salt Lake City School District is here to help!
All Services are provided FREE and are confidential. No information will be released to the school district without your prior written consent.
The PTSA would like to help you, help your student participate in school activities. High school is a great time, with opportunities for developing/ practicing social skills and making new friends. There are a number of school activities throughout the year that may seem daunting to a student with special needs. The parent volunteers of PTSA can offer support, assistance or just keep a caring watchful eye out for your student. If you would like to become a parent volunteer to help in this process or you have a student who may benefit from this added support during school activities please contact Rita Devine at 801-363-3409 or email@example.com.
Upcoming Dances and Stomps
Stomps are for current West High students only. They begin at 8:30 p.m. and end at 11:00 p.m. Current West High ID are required for entrance. Cost $3.00 with activity card, $5.00 without activity card. Dances are either semi-formal or casual. They begin at 8:00 p.m. and end at 11:30 p.m. Prices vary but will not exceed $20.00 per individual.

- Jan. 24 - MORP
- Feb. 21 - Sadie Hawkins
- Mar.28 - Jr. Prom
- May 16 - Senior Ball

Best Buddies is a non profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships with their high school peers.
